Rookie Tyler Fellows the overall winner in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stock Madness
57th consecutive season of racing at Bear Ridge week 13

For Immediate Release                                                                                                                                                                            07272024-1

Week thirteen feature winners of the 57th consecutive season sponsored by Wells River Savings Bank  were DJ Robinson in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Lucas Wheeler® in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were OFF, the High Country Dispensary Late Models were OFF, LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks MADNESS Segment one Keith Mansur®, Segment two Andrew Fitzgerald, Segment three Ryan Sayers®, Overall Tyler Fellows®, Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners Logan Martin, and for the Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduros Hunter Garduno.

DJ Robinson is back on top with his win in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. His first in over a year. Robinson was able to capitalize on a couple of early cautions to take the lead on lap eight and cruise on for the win. Josh Sunn and Todd Buckwold both coming from mid pack were able to make the outside groove work to make their way to the front and join Robinson in victory lane in that order. Tad Kingsbury and Robert Tucker rounded out the top five. Your current points leader Jason Gray came home in sixth ahead of his number one challenger Max Dolliver, who looks destined to follow in Gray’s footsteps today finishing just behind Gray in every event except for his two recorded wins so far in 2024.

He was crowned the king in the Dirt Stocks two years ago, took a year off, and came back in a Sportsman Coupe in 2024 with rookie status. It only took Lucas Wheeler half a year to get his first win and help set himself up for Rookie honors. Wheeler was able to hold off the veterans Tim Hodge and Jason Gray who both working from the back were able to make their way to the front and join Wheeler in victory lane. The points battle in this division is setting up to be one hell of a barn burner with only four points separating the top four. Hodge looking to get his second title started off a bit rocky, but it appears he has got his mojo back as his second-place finish puts him back on top of the points battle for now. Rest assured Michael Danforth and Cody Gregoropoulos, both looking for their first title, and Jason Horniak a Coupe veteran are not going to let him stay there for long if they have any say about it. Michael Danforth and Ricky Sanville, last week’s feature winner rounded out the top five.

Will Hull in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and will return to action on August 10th.

The High-Country Dispensary Late Models were off and will return to action on August 3rd.

It was MADNESS night for the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks with over eight thousand dollars in lap and purse money on the line, making it their biggest payday to date. Three segments of twenty-five laps were run with a cumulative overall finish to determine the double points winner for the evening. Bonus money was awarded to each segment winner with Keith Mansur getting the extra dough for the first segment, Andrew Fitzgerald in the second and Ryan Sayers in the third. The overall winner was awarded to Rookie Tyler Fellows who methodically set his sights on winning the overall war and not worrying about each battle. Second overall was awarded to Keith Mansur with third going to Aren Keene by virtue of his final segment finish ahead of John Fields to break the tie. Fields is scored in fourth with Andrew Fitzgerald fifth.

In the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners Kevin LaForest fell one spot short from a repeat victory crossing the line in second behind Logan Martin. Kelly Miller Jr. joined the pair in victory lane. Jason Porter in his first appearance of the year takes home third with Travis King completing the top five.

The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4’6 Cylinder Enduro series were giving an extra twenty-five laps after having lost one of their events to rain earlier in the season. The forty-five plus field of cars took the green three wide, with wild excitement happening in every corner of the track. Enduros bring out the fittest, and at the end it is all about the survival. When the checkers waved it would be Hunter Garduno crowned the winner with Eric Baker taking home second and Scott Dowland in third. Bill Faford and Dayton Blake rounded out the top five. The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4’6 Cylinder Enduro series will return to action on Saturday August 31st.
