Richie Simmons joins elite winners circle in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds
Cary Hunter gets his first win in the Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders
For Immediate Release BRS-06192021-1
JTB Towing & Recovery night Feature winners: Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Richie Simmons; Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes Ricky Sanville; USAC DMA Midgets (from Albany Saratoga Friday) Seth Carlson; C.A. Miller Limited Late Models Todd Dunham; LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Mike McClay Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders Feature #1 Cary Hunter & Feature #2 Buddy Welch, WYKR Sprint Cars of New England Caleb Lamson, Granite State Mini Sprints 600cc Anthony MarVuglio, 500cc Donny Sharp.
Richie Simmons gets the monkey off his back making it back to victory lane in top position breaking his streak of four visits in the third-place spot this season in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Coming from mid pack he worked his way to the front, and after several laps of a hard-fought battle with rookie Max Dolliver who was riding on point, he was able to get by him to take over the lead. Dolliver in his best finish yet held on for second holding off veteran Jason Gray who was unable to make a move to get by him. Jordan Fornwalt and James Fadden completed your top five.
The winner pool continues to grow in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes as Ricky Sanville is the one to join the club on JTB Towing and Recovery night. Sanville didn’t have far to go to get to the point, but he did have to hold off some seasoned veterans to keep it. When the dust finally settled on the 35-lap main event Sanville is recorded as the sixth different winner. Tim Hodge in the Gary Corsi machine crossed the line tight behind him in second with Tim Martin taking home the final trophy in third. Matt Ellsworth and Tad Kingsbury are your fourth and fifth place finishers.
The Bear Ridge Speedway USAC DMA Midgets made their first of two trips to Albany Saratoga on Friday night with Justin Phillips coming home the winner over Josh Sunn and Will Hull. Justin Sheridan and Jason Goff rounded out the top five. The USAC DMA Midgets will be back at the Ridge on July 3rd.
The C.A. Miller Limited Late Models welcomed some outsiders with an open competition event. Todd Dunham one of the Bear Ridge regulars was able to beat them out taking home the win o er visiting Nicholas Longley and Bear Ridge regular Matt Piper. Tyle Tremblay and Kelly Miller completed the top five.
Mike McClay is scored with his first win in the LaValley Building Supply crossing the line ahead of Jesse Dunham and Michael Mann with his best finish of the season as well. Mike Stender and Phil Hayes completed the top five.
Once again, the Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders had to main events divided by their high/low handicap and three week average. This is allowing for some extra smiling faces as Cary Hunter is recorded with his first win as he beat out Santana Merritt and Carl Sweet. Hayden Bishop and Douglas Kenny round out the top five. The second feature had familiar faces in victory lane with Buddy Welch taking the win over Jason Porter and Jonathan Baker. Devon Spinks and Spencer Braley completed the top five.
The WYKR Sprint Cars of New England hit the clay oval for their first event of the season with eleven cars. Caleb Lamson crossed the green to checkers event first with Matt Hoyt and Jacob Williams joining him in victory lane in that order. Teammates Chris Donnelly and Jordan Fornwalt crossed in fourth and fifth.
