Tim Hodge makes it back to the top in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes
57th consecutive season of racing at Bear Ridge week 11.

For Immediate Release

Week 11 Mid-Season Championships are officially in the record books, with Jason Gray being awarded the honors in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Michael Danforth Jr in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Kelly Miller Sr in the High Country Dispensary Late Models, Dustin Towle in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, and Kevin LaForest Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners.
Week eleven feature winners of the 57th consecutive season sponsored by Reds Auto Spa were Jason Gray for make up feature one, Kyle Huntington in make up feature two, and Robert Tucker in the regular feature in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Tim Hodge in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off, Kelly Miller Sr in the High Country Dispensary Late Models, LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks feature one was Ryan Christian and John Fields for feature two, Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners Kelly Miller Jr. and for the R.E. Hinkley Granite State Mini Sprints 500cc Josh Bell and 600cc Teagan Daignault.
It was madness night for the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds with over ten thousand dollars on the line. The competitors had to show up with plenty of Wheaties under their belts to be ready to duke it out for three thirty lap features. Jason Gray, having brought in the most laps earned the coveted pole position for feature one, and would lead the full field for the thirty-lap main adding a big chunk of change to his wallet. Max Dolliver stayed glued to his bumper with Tad Kingsbury third. Jeremy Huntoon and DJ Robinson rounded out the top five for the first event. Kyle Huntington would get the honor of winning the second feature his second win of the season with Josh Sunn crossing the line in second and Tim Churchill in third. Gray takes third with Mike Ryyan in fifth. The Final feature of the night for the Mods had Robert Tucker taking the checkers with DJ Robinson in second and Jason Gray in third. Josh Sunn and Max Dolliver completed the top five. The top three for the overall for the Madness were Jason Gray with eleven points, DJ Robinson with sixteen and Max Dolliver third with eighteen points.
Straight up double points were on the line for the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes and if you are struggling to get the monkey off your back this is the event to do just that. Tim Hodge last years track champion has struggled a bit the first half of the season, but this night he was able to dump the monkey and grab the gold coming home with his first win of the season. Jason Gray who just couldn’t get in enough track time it seems doing double duty crossed the line in second with Todd Hayward back in the saddle climbing all the way up the ladder from his sixteenth starting spot took home third. Michael Danforth Jr and Terry Williams rounded out the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and will return to action on July 20th.
Kelly Miller Sr appears to be unstoppable in the High-Country Dispensary Late Models as he grabs his fourth win of the season beating Scott Heath at the line. Rob Rugg who lead early fell back to third in his quest for his first win with Chad McAlpine and Tim Higgins completing the top five.
The LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks had a special night with two separate features an opportunity to show off their talents not once but twice for the night. Ryan Christian would be the first to cross the line in feature one with Bryan King and your current points leader Dustin Towle in third. Aren Keene and Keith Mansur finished out the top five. For the second feature John Fields scores his second win of the season with Rookie Tyler Fellows having his best race of the year taking home second. Bryan King is scored in third with Ryan Christian and Shawn King completing the top five. Andrew Fitzgerald, last year’s track champion, is suffering from a sever sophomore jinx. Having to get into Brendon Forests machine after mechanical problems once again, he found himself in the Rodeo sand pile in feature one taking him out of contention for the night.
Sometimes a picture doesn’t tell the story as the victory lane photos for the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners would not depict the official finish. The Ridge Runners, small in size but mighty in numbers showed up with double points on the mind, and ready to give it their all to make it to the front. Zach Audet and Kevin LaForest crossed the line first and second, but the officials would penalize them both three positions for their unsportsmanlike on track racing tactics. This would move Kelly Miller from third to first for his third straight win of the season, who was quoted “sometimes its better to be lucky than good” happy to take the honors. Taylor Sayers in only his second appearance takes home second with Logan Martin getting third place. Audet and LaForest were scored in fourth and fifth. Despite the shift in the finish and the double points LaForest still holds on to the points lead widening his lead over Randy Morrill who struggled coming home in sixteenth.
The R.E. Hinkley Granite State Mini Sprints offered plenty of excitement for the fans in the 400/500cc’s Josh Bell beats out Nicholas Tosi for the with Morgan Macintyre joining the pair in victory lane. Son and father Tyler and Ed Vickery rounded out the top five. In the 600cc’s Teagan Daignault came back from a wild ride in June to grab the win with Josh Ball doing double duty taking home second and Chase Roger in third. Ryan Green and Luke Hinkley completed the top five.
The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4’6 Cylinder Enduro series returns to action Saturday July276th for their second event.
