It was a very emotional victory lane, as Richie Simmons scored his first win of the season dedicating it to his father in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Simmons had to hold off Josh Sunn who did his best to get by Simmons, but was unable to make it happen, having to settle for second at the checkers. Joining the two in victory lane was Kyle Huntington his first trip there. Tim Martin and Ryan Christian completed the top five.
Jason Horniak is all smiles in victory lane as he finally gets the monkey off his back to score his first win of the season in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes. With the top three virtually under a blank as they fought for the lead, Horniak was able to be the defender beating out Josh Harrington and Tim Hodge. Who crossed the line tight behind him in that order. Tad Kingsbury and Thomas Placey rounded out the top five.
The USAC DMA Midgets were off, their next event at the Ridge is Saturday July 30.
Ryan Christian breaks Matt Lashua’s winning streak in the R & L Auto Towing & Recovery Late Models, beating Lashua to the finish line by a substantial lead. Lashua crossed the line in second with Rob French in third, but not able to run for points, moving Parker Piper up to the third and final victory lane spot. James Mutney and Trevor Strong would be scored in fourth and fifth place positions.
Lucas Wheeler continues to dominate in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, scoring his fifth win of the season expanding on his point lead in his quest for his first championship. Wheeler beat out Chris Murray and Andrew Fitzgerald for the top victory lane spot. Garrett Brown and Jesse Dunham rounded out the top five.
Two repeat winners in the Peanuts Auto LLC Ridge Runners as Jacob Joslin gets the win in the first feature. Joslin beat Cary Hunter and Blake Buccellato for the gold, with Katie Burroughs and Geoff Durphey rounding out the top five. In the second Ridge Runner Feature Travis King is finally back on top, also with his second win of the season. He beat out Dilyn Switser and Hayden Bishop. Tom Brown and Spencer Braley completed the top five.
Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods The next event for this great series will be July 30th.
The 360 Sprint Cars (SCoNE) were back in the house for a special $1000.00 to win show. Chris Donnelly gets the job done taking home the big check with Jacob Williams scored in second and Matt Hoyt in third. Scott Holcomb and Clay Dow rounded out the top five.
