For Immediate Release BRS-06262021-1
JTB Towing & Recovery night Feature winners: Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds DJ Robinson; Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes Ryan Christian; USAC DMA Midgets off return 7/3; C.A. Miller Limited Late Models off return 7/3; LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks off return 7/3; Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders Feature #1 Wesley Blake(following post-race inspection disqualification of on track winner) & Feature #2 Logan Martin.
DJ Robinson finally finds himself back in victory lane in coveted first place spot in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds after almost a two year drought. Robinson was able to hold off the hard fought challenges of Jason Gray and Jordan Fornwalt as they battled it out for second and the first place spot. When the checkers waved on the trio it was Robinson for the win with Fornwalt scored in second and Gray in third. Todd Buckwold and Josh Sunn rounded out the top five.
Another winner is added to pool in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes as this week it is Ryan Christian after one of the closest competitions of the season in any class is scored the winner at the line with an almost photo finish between him and Jason Horniac. Horniac and Christian swapped the lead several times as they came out of turn four nose to nose. Horniac had the point on lap thirty-four, but Christian was having none of it, getting back by him mere inches before they crossed the start finish line. Christian is scored the winner, his first in the Coupes with Horniac in the bridesmaid position. Brian Chaffee hoping the two would make one slip for him to take of advantage of, would have to settle for the final victory lane spot. Tad Kingsbury and Tim Hodge completed the top five.
The USAC DMA Midgets were off and will return to action 7/3/2021
The C.A. Miller Limited Late Models were off and will return to action 7/3/2021.
The LaValley Building Supply were off and will return to action 7/3/2021.
The first feature of Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders had a change in the overall finish after a post-race inspection disqualified the winner moving Wesley Blake to the first-place spot with Blake Buccellato being scored in second and Taber Andrews in third. Taylor Sayers and Douglas Kenny rounded out the top five. There wasn’t a more excited crowd of fans than when this guy finally made it to victory lane the winner in the second feature event. Logan Martin held on to beat out rookie Jon LaForest and Kevin LaForest for the top honors. Jason Porter setting a challenger earlier fell back to fourth with Bobby Bell crossing the finish line in fifth.
The 2nd event of the Sting Vintage Race Cars 4/6 Cylinder Enduro provided the fans with plenty of thrills and spills, with roll overs, flames and smoke to keep the fans on the edge of their seats for the 75 lap main event. All about endurance the ones that make it to the final checkers are worthy of their accomplishments. This event would see Hunter Garduno behind the wheel of the Cameron Powers machine dominating the field and taking home the checkers. Crossing the line in second was David wilder with Trebor Mears taking home third. Eric Lundblad and Dilyn Switser rounded out the top five. The next Sting Vintage Race Cars 4/6 Cylinder Enduro event is scheduled for July 31st.
