Week sixteen feature winners of the 57th consecutive season sponsored by Sabil & Sons Inc were Mike Ryan in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Cooper Hodge in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets-OFF, High Country Dispensary Late Models-OFF, Andrew Fitzgerald in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, and in the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners Tim Davis. Visiting Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) Caiden Herbert.
With only five weeks left for the season Jason Gray is doing everything he can to cement his claim on a fifth championship in a row. Gray coming from the back was able to get to the front and take the lead away from Robert Tucker on lap twenty seven and cruise on for his fifth win of the season. Tucker held on for second with Mike Ryan beating out Aiden Hervey who had his best race of the season for third. Hervey held on to fourth with Tim Churchill rounding out the top five.
In the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes the youngest Cooper Hodge and the eldest Bob Shepard brought the field to the green swapped the lead fr the first ten laps by lap ten the youngest showed he had a bit more to give as he took the lead and never looked back as he cruised on for his first win in over a year. Shepard would find himself part of a caution with only seven to go ending his night. Jeremy Huntoon moved thru the pack to take home second with Jason Horniak grabbing the final victory lane spot. Matt Ellsworth and Ricky Sanville completed the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and will return to action this Saturday August 24th.
The High-Country Dispensary Late Models were off and will return to action this Saturday August 24th.
It the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Andrew Fitzgerald came from deep in the pack to take the lead from Dana Carter with only three laps to go after a restart. Carter, still looking for his first win was able to hold on for second with Matt Pike joining the pair in victory lane. Bryan King and Aren Keene completed the top five.
Tim Davis was able to hold on to the coveted starting position and beat out some heavy hitters for his first win in the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners. Davis was able to hold off Kelly Miller Jr who was hoping to capture his second triple crown of the season and your points leader Kevin LaForest. The two would cross the finish line in that order at the checkers. Spencer Braley and Stan Otterman rounded out the top five.
The Sprint Cars of New England were in the house for their ninety-nineth time since their beginning. Local veteran driver Mark Cole would lead the pack for the first ten laps until a restart where Caiden Herbert was able to get the jump on Cole. Several cautions would slow the pace during the middle of the feature with Herbert able to hold on to the lead each time and score the win. Travis Billington and Jacob Williams come home second and third with Kayden Berry and Dylan Menditto completing the top five. The Sprint Cars of New England will be back for their one hundredth start and final appearance in 2024 on September 14th.
The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4’6 Cylinder Enduro series returns to action Saturday August 31st for their next event.

The price of a regular show general admission (front gate) ticket for adults (ages 17 to 61) is $12.00 a person. Seniors 62 and older $10.00. Teens 12 to 16 WITH a paying adult $10.00, and children 11 and under WITH a paying Adult $2.00. Military Discounts are available at $2.00 off for those with a valid ID. The back gate (pit gate) ticket price for Bear Ridge Speedway and DIRTcar 2024 license holders is $30.00. Non-license holders are $35.00 (both prices include the front gate ticket.)
