Bear Ridge Speedway “there’s no place like home”
Bear Ridge Speedway “there’s no place like home”
For Immediate Release BRS-030418-1
Bear Ridge Speedway is gearing up for their 51st year of consecutive racing. The Ridge continues to be the best source of great inexpensive high-quality entertainment for families. What makes the entertainment? Some of the best drivers in New England, fierce competition, and the return of drivers who know “there’s no place like home”
The DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds will see some returning faces in 2018 who have raced the Ridge. We understand that sometimes family commitments need to take precedence, and some drivers want to try their luck at the tracks on the other side of the mountain. We are always proud to watch them as they spread their wings, and at the end of the day, it is good to know when they can and are ready they will come home. Tim Tucker driver of the 91 hails from northern VT and will be returning to full time competition in 2018, will he be setting his sites on a top five points standing finish, or even a championship? Kevin Chaffee local hot shoe driving the 73 having raced the King of Dirt Series last season, will be returning to the Ridge to try to earn his first coveted track championship in the Mods. With some stiff competition this feat will not be easy for any of the drivers and is sure to offer some edge of your seat entertainment for the fans.
Speaking of seats fans! The 2018 fans will see reserved seating available in the general grandstands, available exclusively to season pass holders. There will be a limited number of spots available to fans who want to bring in their own chairs to sit directly behind the grandstands in designated spots only.
The Laquerre Sports USAC DMA Midgets numbers are looking strong this year, with Dean Christensen hoping to defend his track championship for car owner legend Ray Miller. Team mate Joe Krawiec is hoping to not let that happen, having been there himself a few times before, and is anxious to reclaim the honor. They will have their hands full with returning drivers eager to oust the Miller Stable and a new but familiar name, who knows “there is no place like home” and hopes to make his mark in the division. Having driven the mighty mods and the winged beasts SCoNE machines, Danny Douville will be behind the wheel of Midget this year. He brings a wealth of knowledge of the Ridge and top notch driving capabilities which will mean we don’t expect him to be a slouch.
Also returning of course are the DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes, the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models, the Weglarz Property Service Four Cylinders, and the State Farm Ins Mike Estrada 4/6 Cylinder Enduro Series.
Remember in today’s society we could all use a little more family entertainment, and the Ridge is your best place to be for just that. The admission price is more than reasonable; the show top-notch, the food superior, and the family friendly atmosphere is just what you are looking for. If you haven’t been to the Ridge in a while or at all why not check us out in 2018.
