Final Champ for the 99Rock racing series crowned on Sunday-Funday the last event for the 2024 season
57th consecutive season of racing at Bear Ridge week 22.

The final racing event for the season, the 57th consecutive, has been recorded in the record books for Ridge Speedway. The 8th annual Sunday-Funday sponsored by Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply offered plenty of racing exactment with lots of thrills and spills for the fans.
Event winners were Amanda Lussier in the 49 machine of Chris LaForest for the Women’s Enduro. Chris Murray and partner Karley Morin for the WYKR Duo Enduro, Jason Porter in the Open Comp Four Cylinders, Tiellar Mitchell in the Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro, Travis Collins in the 4 Cylinder Demolition Derby and Devin Bell in the V-8 Demolition Derby.
A record twenty-three brave ladies signed up to show their men how it is done in the Women’s enduro and at the end of their twenty-lap event Amanda Lussier driving her cousin Chris LaForest’s machine would grab the win, fairing better than Chris did in his main 150 lap Enduro event. This was followed by an Open Comp Four Cylinder sixty lap event with eighteen cars registered to take the green. Jason Porter, a sure winner, didn’t disappoint as he led the field to the checkers. Following him in second and third and to victory lane were Logan Martin and Zach Audet in that order. Kevin LaForest, your 2024 Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners Track Champion finished fourth with Jed Whitcomb. The WYKR Duo Enduro was up next this twenty-lap event requires two drivers and a mandatory red flag on lap ten when the drivers switch and continue on for the final ten. Twenty Duos took the green and when the checkers waved it was Chris Murray and his partner Karley Morin who got the job done in record time.
The main event of the day was next on the docket featuring the Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro 150 lap final points event of the season. Over seventy cars took the green and at the end of the 150 laps it was truly the survival of the fittest with Tiellar Mitchell holding on for the checkers. Mitchell would be the only driver on the lead lap, with his second-place contender Justin Faford showing one lap down. Eric Baker would join the pair in victory lane in third. Cody Hodge and Curtis Hayden completed the top five.
Thirty cars between the 4 cylinders and the V-8’s showed up for the ever-popular Demolitions Derbies, which capped the days activities. When the smoke settled on their events Travis Collins in the 4’s and Devin Bell in the V-8’s were victorious.
Up next is the annual awards banquets for the 99Rock weekly racing series divisions, with the Fendered divisions Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro Series, the High Country Dispensaries Late Models, LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, and the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners being recognized on November 8th at the Fireside Inn in W. Lebanon NH. Saturday night November 9th will feature the open wheeled machines for the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets. The Enduro series and Late Models will recognize the top five in points with all remaining divisions recognizing the top ten. Banquet tickets are on sale through October 26th. No tickets available after the 26th and drivers must purchase a ticket and be present at the award ceremony to be eligible for any point fund, trophies, award, and contingency items.
