Andrew Fitzgerald scores win #5 in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks

57th consecutive season of racing at Bear Ridge week 17.

For Immediate Release                                                                                                                                                                                      08242024-1

Week seventeen feature winners of the 57th consecutive season sponsored by Murray’s Market Nursery & Landscaping LLC were Matt Lashua in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Cody Georgopoulos in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Ethan Durocher® in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets, Kelly Miller Sr in the High Country Dispensary Late Models, Andrew Fitzgerald in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, and Travis King in the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners.

In the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Matt Lashua was able to capitalize on his pole starting position and a green to checkers feature to get his first win of the season. With no mishaps to slow the pace the regular contenders ran out of time to advance their way to the front. Tim Churchill would stick to Lashua like glue and cross the line in his wake finishing second with Mike Ryan grabbing third. Aiden Hervey continues to impress with his forth place finish with Todd Buckwold completing the top five.

In the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes Cody Gregoropoulos gets his first win of the season beating out Michael Danforth JR. and Matt Ellsworth who finally makes it back to victory lane after a mid-season drought. Jason Horniak and Terry Williams rounded out the top five. Last year’s champion Tim Hodge who is looking for a repeat as he closes the gap in the points battle fell one spot short of the top five coming home in sixth.

Rookie Ethan Durocher gets the win for his legendary owner Skip Matczak in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets beating out John Forlano at the line. Last year’s champion continues to tighten the gap between him and the top of the heap in the points standings by coming home in third. With double points on the line when the Midgets return for their madness night and only fifteen points separating first from fifth, this battle will go down to the final checkers before a clear champ will be crowned. Brandon Piastka takes home fourth putting him on top for now with brother Daniel Piastka taking home fifth. The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets return to the Ridge on September 7th.

The High-Country Dispensary Late Models Kelly Miller is back on top avenging his mulligan of two weeks ago and taking home the win in their twenty-lap main event. Miller beat Rob Rugg to the point on the first lap and never looked back. Rugg fell back to third for a few laps but was able to get back to second for the finish. Scott Heath joined the pair in victory lane. Chad McAlpine and Matt Lashua rounded out the top five.

It the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks like they say with the New England weather, when it comes to the points battle wait a minute and it will change. Andrew Fitzgerald grabs his fifth win and brings himself to within twenty points of the top position in the points standings, but for now the battle continues between three drivers separated by three points. This week the honors go to Keith Mansur with his fifth-place finish helping to give him a one-point lead over Aren Keene, last week’s points leader. Tyler Fellows would be one of the ones to join Fitzgerald in victory lane for the trophy coming home in second with Mike McClay grabbing third. Dana Carter and Mansur completed the top five.

Travis King gets his second win of the season in the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners. After a red flag for a wild ride for Travis Burroughs, wife Katie set her sites on the checkers but would run out of time to get her first win settling for second. Kelly Miller Jr grabs the final victory lane spot with Zach Audet and Kevin LaForest completing the top five.
