57th consecutive season of racing at Bear Ridge week 7.
For Immediate Release BRS-06152024-1
Week seven feature winners of the 57th consecutive season sponsored by JTB Towing & Recovery were Brian Chaffee in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Jeremy Huntoon in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Justin Sheridan in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets, High Country Dispensary Late Models Matt Lashua, LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Keith Mansur, Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners Zach Audet.
From the outhouse to the penthouse in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Brian Chaffee finishing last last week comes back to vindicate himself and takes home the win. The battles behind him helped to extend his lead on the thirty-five-lap main event. DJ Robinson suffered severe mechanical problems on the last lap but not before he crossed the line in second. Max Dolliver looked to be narrowing the points gap between himself and his mentor Jason Gray as Gray struggled early in the event to get through traffic. Unfortunately for Dolliver Gray found the grove and worked his way up to one spot out of victory lane crossing the line in fourth to salvage his points lead by only losing three to Dolliver for the night. Mike Ryan completed the top five.
In the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes two new faces make it to victory lane as Jeremy Huntoon was able to hold off the pack and get his first win in a long time. Ali Pushee was able to score his best race of the season joining Huntoon in the second-place spot, with Josh Harrington returning to victory lane in third. A red flag for Jason Grays wild ride off turn one, would bunch the field back up, but Huntoon was able to make his Delaware restart position work and take home the checkers. Tim Hodge and Matt Ellsworth rounded out your top five.
Justin Sheridan adds his name to the winners list in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets being the fifth one in as many events this year. After a red flag early for the flip of Daniel Piastka Sheridan had to stay on his toes to get by Manny Dias and hold on to the lead as Dias and Chris Murray dogged him for several laps. At the Checkers the three would cross in that order with Ethan Durocher and John Forlano rounding out the top five.
Matt Lashua is finally able to get the monkey off his back and take home the win from his pole starting position, in the High-Country Dispensary Late Models, while holding off the hard-fought challenges of Kelly Miller Sr. and Todd Dunham. Dunham beat out Miller at the line for second. Rob Rugg and Scott Heath rounded out the top five.
It appears that Keith Mansur may have found his favorite division in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks. Mansur, a rookie in the class has been marching his way up the leader board weekly and this week scores his first win. Mike McClay, on his quest for the championship crown, worked Mansur hard but at the end didn’t have enough to take the position, having to settle once again for the bridesmaid spot in victory lane. Bryan King in his son’s car makes it to victory lane in third. Dustin Towle and Rookie Tyler Fellows rounded out the top five.
Zach Audet returns in the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners and quickly makes his way to the front on the outside to take from Kelly Miller Jr and sail on to take home the checkers in only his fourth appearance of the season. Kevin LaForest was unable to hold him off as he sailed by but was able to hold on to the second victory lane spot with Travis King joining him in victory lane in the same spot as his father in the Dirt Stocks third, unfortunately a post race inspection failure would move Kelly Miller to third with Logan Martin forth and Randy Morrill fifth.
