For Immediate Release BRS-070817-1
A Huge thank you to the fans who stuck it out thru an hour and forty five minute rain delay and fog attack of the track to still see plenty of racing action with over three hundred laps recorded and the O’Reilly Auto Parts fireworks display brought to us in part by Noise R Us Fireworks, proving once again that Promoter C.V. “Butch” Elms will do whatever he can to get the show in.
It was Madness night for the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds with the field going for over seven thousand dollars in purse and lap money. Three thirty lap segments were run with Derek Graham and Richie Simmons bringing the field to the green in the first segment. Graham would have mechanical issues right off the bat finishing last which gave him the pole position again for the second segment. Richie Simmons took the point and led all thirty laps of the first segment. Robert Tucker came home in second with Allan Hammond coming home in third. Todd Buckwold and Mike Dunn completed the top five. Segment two as stated saw Derek Graham on the pole with Ryan Christian alongside. Grahams segment one finish would be vindicated as he kept the point for the thirty laps of the second segment coming home first with Richie Simmons coming home in second having come from fifteenth on the starting grid. Robert Tucker coming from just in front of Simmons on the start crossed the line in third. DJ Robinson and Terry Williams rounded out the top five. Segment three was claimed by Todd Buckwold with Mike Dunn Crossing in second and Jordan Fornwalt crossed the line third. Robert Tucker and Derek Graham completed the top five. The overall top five added up to be Robert Tucker, the first repeat winner in the Sportsman Mods, Richie Simmons, Jordan Fornwalt, Todd Buckwold and Mike Dunn.
Another repeat winner is seen in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes. Josh Harrington was able to beat out Tanner Siemons for the win with Todd Hayward joining them in victory lane. Jason Colbeth and Jason Horniac rounded out the top five. The Laquerre’s Sports USAC DMA Midgets were off and will be returning on July 1st.
In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models Ryan Christian beat out Wayland Childs giving him one up on the win column, Derek Stearns crossed the line in third joining them in victory lane. Bryan Campbell and Kevin Dickinson completed the top five.
In the Weglarz Property Service Steve Bell finally gets the win beating out Buddy Welch who crossed the line in second and Jason Porter coming home in third. Sean Perron and Jesse Durkee completed the top five.
The WYKR Sprint Cars of New England helped push out the fog and when the checkers waved on their event Chris Donnelly was seen crossing the line first with Jacob Williams coming home in second and Matt Hoyt in third. Dan Douville and Will Hull completed the top five.
The Wingless Sprints were on hand once again and former Modified driver Troy Comeau was credited with the win. Mark Cole came home in second and Sam Comeau crossed the line in third. Cortney Prentice and Dan Bowne rounded out the top five.
The Granite State Mini Sprints were also present Riley Chaffee grabbed the win in the 500 cc’s over Kyle Pittman and Matt Calley. Owen Carbee and Eric Relation rounded out the top five.
