Jason Gray is the overall winner in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Mods Will Hull gets win number one in the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England

Feature winners for the Sabil & Sons night at the Ridge: Jason Gray for the overall in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Thomas Placey in the DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, George Osgood in the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models, Brandon Gray in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stockers, Buddy Welch in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders, and Will Hull in the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England
The DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds drivers had over nine thousand dollars on the line for their madness night, setting up their night for three segments of thirty three laps each. Segment one went to Jason Gray with Jordan Fornwalt and Mike Ryan crossing the line in second and third. These three lucky drivers got to start the second segment in the rear from the invert giving James Fadden the win in the segment. Jason Gray made it back up thru traffic to finish second with Matt Lashua coming home in third. Segment three went to Jordan Fornwalt with DJ Robinson taking second and Gray getting third. The overall combination points put Jason Gray on top with Jordan Fornwalt in second and Matt Lashua in third. Mike Ryan and and Todd Hayward completed the top five.
Thomas Placey coming from sixth to finally get the win in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes beating out Cody Copeland with his best finish for second and Tadd Kingsbury crossing in third, the lucky trio to make it victory lane. Tyler Stygles and Melvin Pierson rounded out the top five.
The USAC DMA Midgets were off and return to action next Saturday August 22nd.
In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models George Osgood is the first to the checkers for his second win of the season with Ryan Christian and John Neddo following him in second and third. Nicholas Longley and Tyler Tremblay completed the top five.
In the LaValley’s Building Supply Dirt Stockers it was all Brandon Gray who was filling the seat for Lucas Wheeler who was unable to compete. Joining him in victory lanes was Troy Prentice and Phil Hayes.
Score four Buddy Welch and three Jason Porter for the win category in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders with Welch getting the win coming from twelfth. Kevin LaForest crossed the line in second with Zach Audet getting the final victory lane spot. Jason Porter worked his way to the front but was only able to make it to the fourth place with Garrett Brown completing the top five
The Mike Estrada State Farm 4 Cylinder Enduro will be returning for action on Saturday August 29th.
Will Hull beats out Chris Donnelly for his first win of the season in the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England with Jordan Fornwalt coming home in third. Floyd Billington and Jim Lowery completed the top five.
Racing action will resume this coming Saturday August 22nd with “Vermont Food Bank Benefit night” sponsored by Dead River Co. The night will offer a full card of racing for the 99Rock weekly racing series, with the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, USAC DMA Midgets, CA Miller Limited Late Models, LaValley’s Dirt Stockers , and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. Plus the Granite State Mini Sprints with their Lenny West Memorial. Bring in 3 non perishables and get $2.00 off one general admission ticket.
We continue to work with limited fans in the stands with designating seating. As per the designated VT state guidelines, we can and will continue to enforce social distancing and face coverings at all times. All people entering the property will be required to wear face coverings at all times, (if you cannot wear a mask stay home) and to be temperature checked. If you have a favorite section, you must reserve your tickets by emailing brsdirt@charter.net by Thursday August 20th Any requests received after that cannot be filled, but tickets are available at the gate. We want to again thank everyone for their continued cooperation, we continue to work to improve our process and procedures, and from what we are hearing most fans are very happy to be back at the track, and are thankful for our efforts to keep all of us safe, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.
KEEP POINTS TO KNOW and REMEMBER we are working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality. Groups may not gather before during or after activities (no tailgating, etc.). You will NOT be able to go into any section but the one your tickets are in. You will NOT be able to leave the grandstand area to go out to your vehicle. NO ONE will be able to come out of the pits to see you. You can NOT arrive before the gates open to save your seats. You will be required to provide your name and phone number for contact tracing purposes. Again we are working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality.
General Admission tickets $12.00 adults, $10.00 seniors & teens, $2.00 kids. Pit entry fee is $30.00 for 2020 Registered members, and $35.00 for non-members- (total of front gate and pit gate fees) must be over the age of eleven to enter the pits.
Gates will open at 3:00pm gates and will be closed at 7:00 pm. No entry will be allowed after that time. You will be required to enter your designated ticket area or pits immediately upon arrival, there will be no “tailgating” before during or after the events. Racing will kick into gear at 6:00 pm(ish), based on track conditions. Once the events have concluded for the evening everyone will be required to leave the facility. Once you enter designated ticket area or the pits you will not be able to leave, (there will be no reentry), if you leave you will be required to leave the property immediately.
April May and Butch are now on air with Stephen John for all the updates happening at the Ridge every Friday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 on WYKR.
